Details
Acute care hospital radiology department performing CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patients
Staffing typically includes 2 CT Techs for inpatient coverage and 1 for outpatient
Shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours totaling 36-40 hours per week
No weekend or holiday shifts required for travelers
No on-call requirement for this role
Uses EPIC EMR along with Canon/Toshiba and Fuji Synapse imaging equipment
Radiologist coverage in-house from 7am-7pm with on-call coverage overnight
No lead tech on the unit; reports to Radiology Director/Manager
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- ARRT certification required, CT specialty preferred
- State license required if applicable
- Experience with EPIC charting system required
- Must be able to perform imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients
- Must be able to start IVs
Additional Information
- Black scrubs required for all imaging staff
- Unit-specific orientation typically lasts up to 2 weeks depending on modality
- Radiation badge is provided by the staffing agency rather than the facility
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible
- Previous permanent staff must wait 2 years before returning as travelers
- Previous travelers who completed a full year at the facility must take a 2-year break before returning
- Cumulative travel assignments within the health system are limited to one year before a required 2-year break applies
Pay package
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
