Travel CT Technologist - $3,083 per week

About the role

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Cat Scan/ X-Ray Technologist for a client in Leadville, CO. The position is a contract assignment lasting 13 weeks (temporary), with a shift of 3x12 nights. The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of CT/X-Ray experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Aids in proper contrast administration and positions patients effectively for scans.
• Performs exams using consistent department protocols and transmits all pertinent data for radiologist review.
• Proactively assesses images and adjusts, as needed, to deliver quality scans for proper patient diagnosis.
• Demonstrates effective radiation and pathogenic protection for patient, as well as self.
• Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
• Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
• Adjusts and reports concerns regarding imaging equipment failures.

• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Meets all local health regulations and successfully completes a post-offer health assessment.
• Physical and sensory requirements: walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to hear and respond to pages; ability to read and write; ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants; ability to remain calm under stress; ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures.
