About the role

The CT Technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence in performing various tasks including patient care, technical procedures, and equipment maintenance. This role requires effective communication with patients and families, strict adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
• Communicate with patients and families to alleviate anxiety and uphold privacy and dignity.
• Verify patient identification according to policy and observe patients’ conditions post-contrast injections.
• Ensure availability of medical records and previous reports.
• Initiate emergency response in case of complications.
• Participate in inventory management and maintenance of CT room supplies.
• Triage procedures and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient patient care.
• Assess patient ability to tolerate contrast and screen for allergies.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to QA/QC requirements and notify the lead of equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program
• ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certifications
• New Jersey State X-Ray License
• BLS Certification

Schedule

• 13-week contract position
• 40 hours per week
• 10-hour shifts, days
• Monday – Thursday, 7 AM – 6 PM, call included
