About the role
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in a Level III Trauma Center's Imaging Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds in Puyallup, WA
- Work in a high-volume environment with over 100 patients seen in a 24-hour period
- Handle general, diagnostic, and interventional CT cases, including cardiac CT experience preferred
- Work 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Occasionally work 2-3 on-call shifts per month, call hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- May float to other CT techs during business hours and 3 CT techs after 5:00 PM
- Use EMR: Epic; PACS: Change Healthcare; Injector: MedRad; Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Requirements
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT & R), and WA state license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a large Level III or higher acute care facility
- Acute care hospital experience required; critical access-only experience is not sufficient
- Experience with ER, ICU, interventional, and diagnostic CT case types
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment
Qualifications
- Professional appearance in scrubs (any solid color)
- 2 professional references required (supervisor-level or above); 1 reference may be submitted for initial consideration with the 2nd required prior to start
- RTO requests must be approved by the manager
- Shift variance requests cannot be accommodated unless the desired shift is already posted
- Holiday coverage is expected on an every-other-holiday basis
Skills
- ARRT (CT & R) certification
- Experience in a high-volume trauma center setting
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Schedule follows a fixed, repeating rotation with minor alterations; shift variance requests cannot be accommodated unless the desired shift is already posted.
