About the Role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This position involves performing diagnostic CT exams under general supervision, following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
  • Obtain, verify, or update patient medical history and assess risk factors (e.g., medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up care.
  • Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images per protocol.
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
  • Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
  • Participate in process improvement activities (e.g., quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, patient satisfaction).
  • Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
  • Take call/standby as required by the department.
  • Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification in CT Tech & Radiology (must be attached to submission).
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached to submission).
  • 2 years of recent CT & Radiology experience with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with GE CT & X-ray machines.
  • Florida Radiology/CT license (must be attached to submission).

Schedule

  • 12-week assignment with 36 hours per week.
  • 12-hour day shifts starting at approximately 8:00 AM.
  • Some night calls (12 hours) may be required.
  • Availability for weekend calls is a plus.
