About the role

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist
  • Operates Siemens CT equipment including CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
  • Performs image transfers to PACS and manages radiology information system (RIS) functions
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Rotates among radiology clinics and divisions, including off-site locations, as needed
  • Works 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM shift, 36 hours per week
  • Requires weekend coverage
  • Maintains CEUs in accordance with MA State Licensure and ARRT requirements
  • May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
  • Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research programs within the department
  • Ensures proper patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and radiation shielding
  • Calibrates and verifies equipment operation at the start of each shift and reports any malfunctions
  • May participate in on-call coverage

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year in CT
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Active MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Level 1 trauma experience
  • Siemens CT experience
  • Experience with cross-sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and PACS systems

Qualifications

  • Permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility is considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Two professional references are required for consideration
  • No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking costs approximately $17–$22 per day; public transportation is recommended

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
