About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Chesapeake, Virginia. This is an immediate opening requiring 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift. The position is classified as travel employment.

Responsibilities

Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients while providing reassurance and support.
Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography.
State-specific licensing when required.
Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Schedule

40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts for a duration of 13 weeks.
