Travel CT Technologist - $2,981 per week
Job Details
Operate CT equipment (CT scanner, Power Injector, Laser Printer, Patient monitoring devices) to acquire diagnostic images for physician use.
Float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with Brigham & Women's Hospital as needed.
Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring proper positioning, immobilization, and use of protective shielding.
Select proper imaging factors and image designated body portions.
Explain exams to patients considering physical and emotional needs, maintaining ethical standards.
Calibrate and verify operation of equipment; notify personnel of malfunctions.
Perform Radiology Information System functions for each exam.
Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction.
Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEUs per Massachusetts State Licensure and ARRT requirements.
May oversee and instruct personnel and technology students.
Prepare equipment room and supplies; stock as needed.
Participate in research, quality assurance, and quality improvement projects.
Assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and flexible shift coverage.
Rotate within department, divisions, and off-site clinics as required.
Transport and transfer patients per departmental guidelines.
Use independent judgment and initiative under pressure during exams.
Perform other duties as directed.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license.
- Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- 2-3 years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred, with at least one year in CT.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients under physical and/or emotional stress.
- Analytical abilities to acquire and utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, procedures, and cross-sectional anatomy.

Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
Unit Specific Information
- Float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with Brigham & Women's Hospital as needed.
- Rotate within department, divisions, and all off-site clinics by shifts as required.
Additional Details
- Level 1 trauma and Siemens experience required.
