About the role
A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and maintain patient history and medical records
- Administer contrast materials as directed by a physician
- Position patients appropriately for imaging
- Operate and calibrate CT scan equipment
- Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions
- Document patient information and results
Requirements
- Current state certification as a CT technologist
- Experience with CT scanning equipment
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current certification as a CT technologist
