About the role
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in the greater Boston area.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of CT procedures under the direction of a qualified physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation
- Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images and is responsible for IV insertion and removal
- All procedures are performed in accordance with federal, state, local, and hospital policies
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration as RT(R) or RT(N) required; CT registry preferred
- Active MA state radiation control board license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
- IV insertion and removal skills required
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients is preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
