About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting in Peoria, Illinois. The position is a 20-week, 36-hour per week assignment starting August 24, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic CT scanning duties in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma department
  • Works in an acute care setting with 640 beds and 5 GE brand CT scanners
  • Works 12-hour night shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • No floating to other departments required
  • Every third weekend rotation required
  • No call or standby requirements
  • No holiday coverage required
  • Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required
  • Current ARRT and BLS certification required
  • IEMA certification required
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Must be able to perform basic CT scanning in a fast-paced, high-acuity, high-volume environment
  • Experience with GE CT scanners preferred
  • Must be able to start IVs
  • Active IL license required, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen for all panels as required by facility policy
