About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting in Peoria, Illinois. The position is a 20-week, 36-hour per week assignment starting August 24, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic CT scanning duties in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma department
- Works in an acute care setting with 640 beds and 5 GE brand CT scanners
- Works 12-hour night shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- No floating to other departments required
- Every third weekend rotation required
- No call or standby requirements
- No holiday coverage required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required
- Current ARRT and BLS certification required
- IEMA certification required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Must be able to perform basic CT scanning in a fast-paced, high-acuity, high-volume environment
- Experience with GE CT scanners preferred
- Must be able to start IVs
- Active IL license required, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Must be able to pass a drug screen for all panels as required by facility policy
