About the role

We are seeking a dual-modality CT/Radiologic Technologist for a travel assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves performing both CT and general x-ray procedures, including portables, in a free-standing emergency department.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts (0700–1900)
• No on-call or callback requirements
• No weekend rotation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• No floating requirements

About the facility

• Free-standing emergency department with 12 beds
• No trauma designation, licensed under Advocate SE Pineville
• 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services
• New facility opened in 2020 (Providence)
• Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility

Department information

• Average of 45 ED visits per day
• Average of 30 total diagnostic radiology and CT studies per day
• ED patients only

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience (first-time travelers accepted if familiar with CT scanners)
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general x-ray procedures, including portables
• Assist with non-imaging tasks as needed, including:
  • Taking vitals
  • Sitter duties for psych patients
  • EKGs
  • Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with lines/labs
  • Chaperoning ultrasound exams if needed
• Collaborate with staff from other specialties/modalities

Skills

• Dual-modality DX/CT technologist experience
• Proficiency with:
  • Epic EMR and Epic Radiant RIS
  • Philips iSite PACS
  • Providence CT scanner (Client Revolution Evo)
  • Ballantyne CT scanner (Siemens GoTop)
  • Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
  • Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray (both locations)
  • Shimadzu MX8 portable x-ray (both locations)

Orientation

• 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review)
• 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation (as needed)
