Travel assignment for a CT Technologist in Charlotte, North Carolina with TalentBurst, Inc.
About the role
13-week travel contract starting 07/28/2026. 40 hours per week, 10-hour night shifts (2100–0730, Monday–Thursday). Clinical interview required; manager will conduct final interview. On-call and callback responsibilities apply. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No weekend rotation or floating required.
About the facility
373 licensed beds (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab) with the following units:
- 30-bed ED
- 46-bed ICU
- 40-bed PCU
- 70-bed Observation
- 14 OR suites
No trauma designation. Imaging services include X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support. TJC Stroke accredited. Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Department information
- Average inpatient census: ~400
- Average studies: 160 on weekdays, 120 on weekends
- Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
- Patient types: ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient
- CT-guided invasive procedures provided
- Cases with Anesthesia as needed
- Cardiac CT imaging performed on day shift, 7 days/week
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- BLS certification
Skills required
- Start peripheral IVs
- Venous and arterial phase scanning
- Multi-phase scanning
- Stroke imaging, including Perfusion
- Colorectal studies
- TeraRecon knowledge preferred (not required)
Support and equipment
- Guest Services/Transport available for inpatient and observation patients
- EMR: Epic
- RIS: Epic Radiant
- PACS: Philips iSite
- Department-specific equipment:
- 3 CT scanners (Siemens Definition – AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge)
- Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
Orientation
- 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review)
- 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation (may include weekdays even if position is weekend-based)
