Setting & Responsibilities
- Critical Access Hospital covering ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR settings
- Stroke-designated facility performing CTA studies and trauma imaging (proximity to major highway)
- Support nearby orthopedic clinic with various joint imaging and procedures
- Rotate 8-hour shifts primarily between X-ray, CT, and surgery; most shifts days and afternoons
- Weekend shifts: 12 hours, typically every third or fourth weekend
- Use EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS
- Operate equipment: Siemens 128-slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio X-ray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC C-arm, Hologic Mini-C
- May use C-arm in surgery for emergent cases
- Call required only if department is short-staffed; overnight response expected when on call
- Float to assist with radiology injections or biopsies as needed (training provided)
Requirements
- ARRT certification
- ARRT(CT) certification (Certified CT Technologist)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience
- Strong CT skills required; CT experience preferred over mammography experience
- X-ray and CT knowledge/skills required
- State license if applicable
Additional Information
- No clinical involvement in this role
- Department can be busy and demanding due to high ER and clinic volume
- Success requires strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and a helpful, eager attitude
- Radiology Director available weekdays and reachable after hours for emergent needs
- One Radiology RN on staff Monday through Friday
- Approximately 1 week of department-specific orientation provided
- Holiday work required as needed
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
