About the Facility
60-Bed Facility, Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Ready Facility located in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin.
Unit Information: Imaging Department with 2 CT Scanners, shared back-to-back control room setup, average volume: approximately 20 scans per shift per technologist.
Responsibilities
Patient Population: Outpatients, Emergency Department patients, Inpatients, Trauma patients, Pediatric patients (rare; typically toddler and older), predominantly adult patients.
Common Exams: Stroke Imaging, Brain CTAs, CT Perfusions, Head CTs, Neck CTs, Spine CTs, Abdominal CTs, Extremity CTs, Pulmonary Embolism Studies, Trauma Imaging.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of acute care CT experience
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted unless candidate has 10 years of CT experience
- Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT (CT), Wisconsin State License, BLS
- Required Skills: Acute Care CT Imaging, Stroke Protocols, Brain CTA Studies, CT Perfusion Imaging, Independent Workflow Management, Emergency and Inpatient CT Procedures
- Preferred Experience: Canon CT Scanners, Toshiba CT Scanners
- Preferred Additional Skills: IV Starts, CT Perfusions, Biopsies, Special Procedures
Support Within the Department
2 CT Technologists on Day Shift, 1 CT Technologist after 6:30 PM, Imaging Patient Assistant, Patient Transport, Room Turnover, Supply Stocking available until 9:00 PM, Concierge Staff at Imaging Desk, Radiology Nurse available until 4:00 PM, Phlebotomy Services, House Supervisor available for IV support after hours, Lead CT Technologist on-site during day shift, Respiratory Therapy available 24/7, MRI and X-Ray services available 24/7.
Technology & Equipment
EMR: EPIC (Preferred), PACS: McKesson, Medication Dispensing: Pyxis, CT Equipment: Canon 80-Slice Scanner, Canon 40-Slice Scanner.
Orientation and Scheduling
Orientation: New Employee Orientation (NEO), Department Orientation, 3 Days of Unit Orientation.
Scheduling Information: Shift Monday–Friday 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 40 Hours per Week, Weekend Requirement: None, On-Call Requirement: None, Holiday Requirement: If a holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday, employee is expected to work, Time-Off Requests (RTO) Subject to Manager Approval.
Pay and Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
