About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This position offers 36 hours per week with a 12-hour day shift (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, Friday through Sunday). The role includes guaranteed hours, weekly direct deposit, health insurance after 30 days, 401k match, referral bonus, and continuing education opportunities.

Unit specifics:

• 12-bed freestanding ER with a 7-bed vertical fast-track area
• Patient ratios: 4–8 patients for nursing; average 80 patients per day (100+ during winter surge)
• Equipment: GE Optima CT scanner, GE portable X-ray
• Documentation systems: Meditech, Sectra
• Scheduling: 36 hours per week, weekends/holidays rotate, no on-call required
• Floating: Not required
• Patient experience: Focus on compassionate, family-like care

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray procedures independently, often as the sole technologist covering both modalities
• Handle acute stroke cases and moderate pediatric volume
• Conduct standard ER procedures (no surgical procedures or biopsies)
• Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 2 years of recent CT technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray modalities
• Certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT
• Advanced skills: Acute stroke readiness, pediatric experience
