About the Role

As a Travel CT Technologist, you will operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. You will prepare and position patients, ensure imaging protocols are followed, and collaborate with radiologists to obtain high-quality images. This position requires adaptability to different equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
  • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT Certification.
  • Additional certifications and licenses as required by the position.

  • Critical Thinking & Communication: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, and manage irregular activity schedules.
  • Sensory: Must possess visual acuity and effective communication abilities.
