About the role
The CT Technologist will perform CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
Responsibilities
- Performs CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
- Demonstrate understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Maintain knowledge in radiation protection and safety.
- Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy.
- Use critical thinking, professional, and ethical judgment in delivering quality care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of an AMA approved radiology program
- Basic Life Support License
- Registered Technologist (R) (CT) or Registered Technologist (R)
Qualifications
- Must have current registration as a CT Technologist.
Skills
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to follow protocols and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
