Travel CT Technologist - $2,687 per week
Job Description & Requirements
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 16-week assignment in Plattsburgh, New York starting August 10, 2026. The position requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and operates on a night shift schedule.
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification (preferred)
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Essential Work Functions
The CT Tech's responsibilities include:
- Operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes
- Preparing patients for the procedure, explaining imaging process, and positioning patients appropriately
- Setting appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
- Providing high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation
- Adhering to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
- Maintaining equipment, keeping patient records, and following safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process
- Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Documenting patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system
- Performing other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice
