About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Woodbridge, Virginia. The role involves operating CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
  • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT Certification.
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.

  • Interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Technical/motor skills: ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental requirements: ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; ability to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel; ability to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail.
  • Sensory: visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
