Travel CT Technologist - $2,614 per week
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Elizabethtown, KY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and compliance with imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Education (30%)
- Greet and prepare patients for CT procedures.
- Verify patient identity, medical history, and physician orders.
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
- Position patients appropriately to achieve optimal image quality.
- Educate patients regarding preparation requirements and safety precautions.
- CT Imaging & Image Acquisition (35%)
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Adjust scanning parameters for optimal image quality.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Evaluate images for positioning, quality, and diagnostic accuracy.
- Perform image reconstruction and post-processing.
- Assist radiologists with technical imaging support and documentation.
- Staff Education & Training (10%)
- Provide guidance to radiologic technologists, nurses, and support staff.
- Support orientation and training of new employees.
- Participate in education of Radiologic Technology students.
- Safety & Compliance (15%)
- Follow ALARA principles and radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
- Document procedures, assessments, contrast administration, and incidents accurately.
- Equipment Maintenance & Quality Assurance (10%)
- Perform daily equipment inspections and quality control checks.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate service requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and protocol optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program OR Military training graduate from a JRCERT-accredited program validated through active ARRT certification.
- Certifications & Licensure: Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License AND Current BLS Certification AND ARRT Registered or Registry Eligible.
