Opportunity

• Must be open to all shift times; specific shift requests cannot be accommodated
• Self-schedule based on seniority
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Weekend requirement may exceed every other weekend to meet unit need
• No on-call required
• No floating between units required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Community hospital experience required
• Guaranteed hours: facility is able to call off once every two-week pay period
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced, CA CRT, CT
• California license must be in hand prior to start
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking available
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Operate 1 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion scanner and 1 64-slice GE Lightspeed
• Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Very busy department with mostly ED patients and some outpatients; high volume primary stroke receiving center
• Transport support available, but technologists are encouraged to assist when needed
• Required skills include: abdomen with/without contrast, chest with/without contrast, head with/without contrast, pelvis with/without contrast, vascular CTA, musculoskeletal trauma, emergency department, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and preparation and/or administration of contrast media

Facility

This acute care hospital features 212 staffed beds and operates a very busy CT department that primarily serves emergency department patients along with some outpatients. The facility functions as a high-volume primary stroke receiving center and is equipped with advanced imaging technology. The department provides transport support and maintains a collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to assist with patient transport as needed.
