Travel CT Technologist - $2,582 per week
About the role
BHS Workforce is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. This full-time role involves 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging exams per physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality
- Prepare and administer contrast media as ordered, monitoring patients for adverse reactions
- Review patient history and screen for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy)
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed
- Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles are followed
- Accurately document exams and maintain patient records in RIS/PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic quality imaging
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred/required per facility
- State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
- BLS certification required
- 1+ years of CT experience preferred (varies by facility)
- IV certification/venipuncture skills often required

Pay
Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
