Travel CT Technologist - $2,569 per week

About the Role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate opening in Shelton, Washington. The position involves a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

CT Techs are responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment, ensuring images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation, as well as preparing and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification
• ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
• ARRT (R) certification
• State-specific licensing when required
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
• 2 years of experience (noted as additional requirement)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
