About the role

Under the direction of the Radiologist and the CT Supervisor, this role involves performing CT procedures in accordance with department protocol at a technical level. The position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, executing a variety of technical procedures, including but not limited to interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of the organization.
  • Acquires scans according to radiologist and department protocol.
  • Informs patients about exams and provides instructions to ensure patient cooperation.
  • Assists the radiologist during interventional procedures.
  • Coordinates daily workload by scheduling inpatients and prioritizing emergency department patients while considering the outpatient schedule.
  • Reviews IV Contrast Questionnaire with patients receiving IV Contrast.
  • Completes documentation in Electronic Medical Record systems.
  • Reviews exams in PACS for completeness prior to submission to the radiologist.
  • Responsible for the safety of all patients.
  • Flexible to assist with the department's 24/7 coverage.
  • Arrives on time for all assigned shifts and is ready to work until the end of the shift.
  • Completes mandatory learning, competencies, and continuing education units as required.
  • Follows dress code policy and maintains HIPAA compliance.
  • Engages in cleaning, stocking supplies, and laundry to maintain a professional workspace.
  • Performs other duties consistent with this role.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification required.
  • ARRT CT Registry eligible preferred.
  • NH Imaging License required.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • CT Scan experience required.
  • Education and experience may be substituted where applicable.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

  • Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform tasks associated with this position, which involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Lifting and carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds is required.
  • The role may include stress associated with the responsibility for quality care.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
