About the role
This travel position is based in Easley, South Carolina, offering a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week. The shift is 12 hours during nights, with an estimated gross weekly pay of $2,512.84.
Schedule
- Weekend night shift: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Float to X-ray as needed
- Two technologists staffed per shift covering X-ray and CT for the emergency department and inpatients
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including abdomen (with/without contrast), chest, head, vascular chest, pelvis, soft tissue neck, sinuses, thoracic, lumbar, cervical, and carotid imaging
- Handle musculoskeletal trauma imaging
- Prepare and administer contrast media
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE
- Start peripheral IVs
- Transport patients to and from the emergency department as needed
- Utilize Epic - Radiant radiology system and Perfect Serve secure paging for communication with off-site radiologists
- Serve patients across age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas where competencies are documented
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist (first-time travelers considered based on experience)
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Required certifications: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), BLS, and South Carolina Radiology license
- Scrub color: Hunter Green
