About the role
The organization is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized tomography (CT) radiological procedures on patients, including general diagnostic radiology examinations. Responsibilities include providing patient care, preparing procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring high-quality image delivery.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures and general diagnostic radiology examinations
- Provide patient care and prepare patients for procedures
- Operate specialized imaging equipment and ensure high-quality image delivery
- Review clinical data and administer intravenous contrast media
- Set up sterile equipment and apply radiation protection principles
- Manage PACS image systems
- Communicate effectively, work in a team, and demonstrate patient sensitivity
- Adhere to customer service standards
- Work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit, potentially exposed to radiation and high-voltage equipment
- Lift and move equipment or patients exceeding 10 pounds
Requirements
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
- Proficiency in performing CT procedures and patient preparation
