About the Role

This is a travel position with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule. The role is ideal for a CT Technologist looking to expand their experience in different healthcare settings while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
  • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ARRT Certification (preferred).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and the ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

  • Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, and work with occasional close supervision or independently.
  • Sensory: Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
