About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality CT Technologist for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Liberty, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Set controls of the equipment, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast, if applicable.
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
- Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence, and label appropriately.
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
- Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record.
- Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
- Maintain an environment of excellence focused on timely, compassionate, and quality patient care.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification required.
- Most states require licensure.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
