Travel CT Technologist - $2,435 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for an immediate opening in Maysville, Kentucky. The position is for 8 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, nights.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT)
• BLS
• ARRT (R)
• 2 Years

Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Ability to work with radiation safety protocols
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
• Computer skills, including familiarity with the McKesson PACS system

Benefits

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
