Job Duties
- Aid the team in patient setup and prep before procedures and clean up post-procedure using safe patient transfer and positioning techniques
- Document procedures in the procedure log accurately for billing and charge capture
- Operate fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary and peripheral vascular disease
- Maintain hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures and report values to the physician
- Monitor radiation dose to ensure safe delivery and minimal exposure to staff
- Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in PACS
- Perform quality control on fluoroscopy equipment and maintain it regularly
- Adapt to the specific needs of the patient population, including respecting privacy and explaining procedures clearly
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences preferred
- 2 years of experience as an allied health professional
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
