Job Summary

This role involves conducting procedures and tests using computed tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. The position emphasizes patient identification, safety, and meticulous image acquisition aligned with protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

• Conducts procedures and tests using computed tomography (CT) equipment, verifying patient identification, collecting patient history, administering contrast media, and ensuring safety.
• Performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrating thorough knowledge of CT algorithms and appropriate window and level settings.
• Maintains understanding of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and transmits images to EMR and other systems, verifying accuracy and ensuring all charge information is correct.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, reviews patient charts for correlation, and precepting new employees and students.

Qualifications

• Prior education, training, and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible, requiring advanced certification in computed tomography (CT).
• Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
