About the role

A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and interpret radiographic images using computed tomography equipment.
  • Administer contrast materials as directed by a physician.
  • Position patients appropriately for imaging studies.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Document patient information and procedures accurately.

Requirements

  • Current state certification as a CT technologist.
  • Experience with CT scanning equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited CT technologist program.
  • Passing scores on relevant certification exams.
