About the role
A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and interpret radiographic images using computed tomography equipment.
- Administer contrast materials as directed by a physician.
- Position patients appropriately for imaging studies.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Document patient information and procedures accurately.
Requirements
- Current state certification as a CT technologist.
- Experience with CT scanning equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited CT technologist program.
- Passing scores on relevant certification exams.
