This role requires proficiency in operating advanced CT equipment and performing a wide variety of CT scans as well as maintaining patient safety and comfort during procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans with and without contrast for both ER and inpatient settings. Start intravenous (IV) lines as required for contrast administration. Ensure accurate patient positioning and operation of imaging equipment. Maintain a commitment to patient safety and comfort while ensuring high-quality imaging outcomes. Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare staff for optimal patient care. Participate in departmental orientation and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Provide guidance and support to colleagues as needed. Shift Information Variable shifts including days and evenings. 12-hour shifts guaranteed at 40 hours per week. On-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time. Rotation includes weekends, every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Call rotation occurs every 6 weeks. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist. Valid BLS certification (AHA). ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required. Texas MRT license required. Department Information This position is within the Radiology department, specifically focused on CT technology, utilizing state-of-the-art GE imaging systems. The average number of scans per day ranges from 16 to 24, with ongoing data management and patient record updating through Meditech and Fuji EMR & PACS systems. Additional Information Uniforms: Black scrubs required, not provided. Participation in holidays and special projects as required. Department-specific orientation will be provided.
