Travel CT Technologist - $2,344 per week
About the role
TNAAM TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for an immediate opening in Torrington, CT. The position is for 13 weeks, 32 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and evening work. Employment type is travel.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of experience
- Must have BLS certification
- Must have ARRT (CT) National Certification with state-specific licensing when required
- Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS
- 2 Years of Experience
Skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, lean, or stoop easily
- Experience with computerized tomography equipment
- Ability to administer radiocontrast agents
- Ability to evaluate CT scans
- Knowledge of McKesson PACS system
Benefits
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 32 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
