About the role

This is a 13-week travel position at Grand Strand Medical Center in the Radiology department. The role involves performing CT exams for emergency department (ED) and inpatient (IP) settings, including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CTA procedures. The facility operates three CT scanners and averages 180 CT exams per day with a team of 2–3 technologists per shift.

Grand Strand Medical Center is a 400-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility with ACR accreditation in CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and mammography. The hospital has been recognized as a top 100 hospital for cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

• Operate Client CT equipment independently
• Perform routine CT exams for ED and IP patients, including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CTA
• Adhere to a compassionate care model
• Follow hospital and unit-specific documentation requirements using Meditech

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
• ARRT Radiography certification (required); CT certification (preferred)
• Ability to perform advanced CT procedures independently
• Experience with Client CT equipment

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in routine CT exams for ED and IP settings
