Travel CT Technologist - $2,323 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans, answer questions, ensure comfort; verify patient information; position patients properly; instruct on breathing or stillness.
• Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate CT scanner; administer contrast agents under guidance; monitor equipment during imaging; review images for quality.
• Image Quality and Review: Ensure high-quality images; work with radiologists; repeat or adjust scans as necessary.
• Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols; maintain sterile environment; monitor patients for adverse reactions; ensure proper patient positioning.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals; document patient information; participate in patient care planning.
• Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and clean CT equipment; perform basic troubleshooting; keep logs of equipment use and maintenance.
• Radiation Safety and Compliance: Follow radiation safety protocols; ensure compliance with regulations; stay updated on changes to standards.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document imaging procedures; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Patient Education and Support: Provide education and guidance; address patient concerns; maintain patient privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a CT Technologist.
• Experience with CT scanning and related procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and patient privacy regulations.
