This role requires proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including, but not limited to, CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures while adhering to departmental protocols. Demonstrate knowledge of CT system processing and surgical/sterile procedures. Administer contrast media for studies, conducting both with and without contrast as required. Maintain an understanding of cross-sectional anatomy relevant to various diagnostic studies. Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) access as necessary. Equipment Utilized The technologist will work with several types of imaging equipment, including: Philips 128 Ingenuity (ER scanner, primary for nights) Philips Brilliance 64 Philips Big Bore 16 Qualifications Graduate of an accredited AMA school. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Licensed by the state as a general radiographer. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A minimum of two years of experience in CT imaging is required. Schedule This position is primarily scheduled for night shifts from Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with the potential for floating to different departments as needed.
