Travel CT Technologist - $2,225 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Great Falls, Montana. The position requires 36 hours per week (13‑hour day shifts) on a travel contract, with an immediate start. The role falls under the CT Technologist specialty within the Allied Health Professional discipline.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily

Qualifications

• BLS certification
• ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Note: Some listings indicate a preference for 2 years of experience and additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Skills

• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Proficiency with the McKesson PACS system
• Ability to interpret physicians' written orders and explain procedures to patients
• Skill in patient positioning, administration of contrast agents, and image quality evaluation
• Commitment to radiation safety and accurate record keeping

Pay

Pay package is based on 13‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
