Travel CT Technologist - $2,177 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mangonia Park, Florida. This is a 36-hour per week position with a 12-hour shift, days.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS
• Must have ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT)
• BLS
• 2 Years of experience

Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Ability to work with radiation safely
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
• Understanding of the McKesson PACS system
