Travel CT Technologist - $2,131 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Dual CT/X-Ray Technologist for a small 25-bed rural community hospital in Edgefield, South Carolina. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, night shift (3x12 hours), starting November 16, 2026.

• Dual CT/X-Ray Technologist role requiring independent work
• Night shift schedule: Sunday 18:00–06:30, Monday 17:00–06:30, Tuesday 17:00–06:30
• Equipment: GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba scanners with PACS
• Epic EMR experience required
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• No on-call requirement
• Expect to work some holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform dual CT and X-ray imaging duties independently
• Conduct CT studies of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal
• Prepare and administer contrast media; perform peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Apply isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols
• Perform 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Provide age-specific care across neonate through older adult populations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT (CT) certification
• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS certification
• SCRQSA certification
• Current South Carolina license to practice (no pending licenses accepted)
• Community hospital experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Two supervisory references required
• Copy of all certifications required for consideration
• Locals accepted at local rate; 50-mile radius rule applies
• Former staff must be separated from permanent employment for 5 years before travel eligibility
