About the role
We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Warren, MI. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience.
Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts. Employment Type: Travel.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
- Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
- Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for Physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- BLS and ARRT (R) National Certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
