Travel CT Technologist - $1,801 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification
• Review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS certification
• Must have ARRT (CT) national certification
• Must have state-specific licensing when required
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT)
• BLS
• ARRT (R)
• 2 Years of experience

Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to work long shifts (12 hours, days)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean, or stoop easily
• Experience with computerized tomography equipment
• Experience with radiocontrast agents
• Experience with evaluating CT scans
• Experience with maintaining accurate patient records
• Experience with using the McKesson PACS system

Benefits

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
