Travel CT Technologist - $1,701 per week

About the role

Travel OR/Surgical Technician position in Beckley, West Virginia. 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arrange and inventory sterile set‑up for operations.
• Pass instruments and supplies to doctors and nurses as needed.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures.
• Set up required equipment and sterile supplies for assigned cases.
• Pull cases as needed and break down cases at the end of the procedure.
• Maintain knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures.
• Perform delegated duties consistent with scope of practice and overall plan of care delivery.
• Assist with moving and positioning of patients.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Confirm procedure with patient.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Meet technical skills as outlined in the facility checklist.

Requirements

• NBSTSA Certification or NCCT Certification (required for employment).
• BLS certification.
• CST certification.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (some listings note 2 years).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
