About the Role

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the support of a dedicated clinical team and the chance to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately with considerations for safety and image accuracy.
  • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ARRT Certification (preferred).
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

  • Proficiency in reading/comprehending written instructions, following verbal instructions, and PC skills.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

  • Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures.
  • Mental ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and contend with irregular activity schedules.
  • Visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.
