About the Role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Roseville, California. This role serves adult and pediatric patient populations in a Level II Trauma community teaching hospital, including Emergency Department cases. Shifts available are Night (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) or Evening (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), 5x8 hours per week, totaling 40 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of CT imaging studies across abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest regions.
  • Conduct abdomen and pelvis studies with and without contrast, including colorectal and enterography studies.
  • Perform head and neck imaging, including carotid, sinus, soft tissue neck, and trauma head studies.
  • Conduct spine and musculoskeletal imaging, including cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and musculoskeletal trauma studies.
  • Perform chest imaging, including vascular chest studies (pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta).
  • Execute brain perfusion and vascular CTA special procedures.
  • Utilize image display and post-processing techniques, including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement.
  • Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Work within Epic EMR and operate GE CT equipment.
  • Provide coverage for holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Requirements

  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required.
  • CRT (California license) required if applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience in a Level II Trauma community teaching hospital setting.
  • Teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center experience required.
  • Epic charting system experience required.
  • Proficiency in performing studies for abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest regions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IVP, calcium scoring/coronary angiography, and Level I Trauma exposure.

Additional Information

  • Maximum Return-to-Origin (RTO) of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract.
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at the local rate.
  • Returning travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before eligibility to return.
