American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
About the role
- Acute care hospital setting within a dedicated Computed Tomography department
- 3x12-hour mid/evening shifts, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- Weekend shifts required
- Performs a variety of diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation
- Contrast administration procedures performed, including contrast injector operation
- Epic EMR used for charting
Responsibilities
- Performs CT scans per department protocol, ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation
- Reviews and evaluates images for quality, clarity, and accuracy to confirm all necessary anatomical structures are captured
- Administers contrast media to patients as ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision
- Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures
- Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care providers following each procedure
- Assists and instructs students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
- Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting required
- Associate's degree required
- Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(R)(CT) certifications required
- BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
- State licensure required if applicable
- Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates working in the State of Colorado
- Proficiency with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment operation
- Experience with contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
- Proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergent patient situations
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
