About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(R) certification for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role is hospital-based in a Computed Tomography department and requires 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience.

Schedule

  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Start Date: September 14, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
  • Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Administer contrast media as ordered under radiologist or physician supervision
  • Provide patient education and address patient or family concerns
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate with other care providers post-procedure
  • Practice infection control and sterile techniques
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and any incidents
  • Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists on protocols and procedures
  • Use Epic charting system
  • Recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
  • Function independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • ARRT(R) certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
  • Associate degree required
  • 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred
  • Active state licensure required; no pending license accepted
  • Proficiency in CT imaging techniques, protocols, and sectional anatomy
  • Experience with contrast administration and contrast injector operation
  • Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images
  • License required if applicable
  • Colorado-hired caregivers may need Fluoroscopy certification
  • Returning Intermountain staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
