Travel CT Tech - $2,847 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma hospital in Richmond, Virginia. The position is in the Radiology/Cardiology department, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and prior Siemens CT equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular CTA studies.
• Execute special procedures such as brain perfusion, CT arthrography, colonography, and transplant studies as needed.
• Prepare and administer contrast media for studies.
• Operate Siemens CT equipment and PACS system.
• Chart examinations using Epic EMR.
• May float within scope of practice as needed.
• Adhere to facility policies including natural nail, drug/tobacco/smoke‑free workplace.
• Complete required orientation modules during the first week of assignment.

Requirements

• ARRT(R)(CT) and ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS certification.
• State license if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience; 2+ years preferred with recent Siemens CT system use.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Two professional references at supervisor level or above.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Experience in teaching hospital and/or community hospital settings preferred.
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration.
• Peripheral IV starting skills preferred.
• Familiarity with Level I Trauma adult acute care, pediatric acute care, and ED patient populations.

Skills

• Proficient with Siemens CT scanners and PACS.
• Skilled in Epic EMR documentation.
• Competent in contrast media preparation and administration.
• Ability to perform peripheral IV starts.
• Strong knowledge of CT protocols for abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular CTA.
