About the role
The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the manager of CT and director of radiology. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from newborn through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts (evenings: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Monday–Thursday, 4×10-hour shifts
- On-call rotation among staff members Friday–Sunday (Friday 5 PM – Monday 6 AM). Call is approximately every 4–5 weeks and occurs if someone calls out, or if the facility experiences high volume (e.g., multiple traumas).
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient, outpatient (Friday only), ER, and scheduled interventional cases (Friday only)
- Start IVs, administer contrast, assist with biopsies, and operate PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (first-time travelers accepted)
- Current ARRT (CT) certification and SCRQSA (CT) registration
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology or completed a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by the end of the rotation
- South Carolina state license in hand at time of start (no pending licenses accepted)
- Radiation badge provided by agency (facility does not supply badges for travelers)

- During hurricane season (June–November, peak in August–September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
